Description

The Good Fight Community Center serves at-risk and disadvantaged youth ages 10-18 in the La Crosse, WI area, offering afterschool and summer programming for 25-35 kids per day. Youth are provided with transportation, meals, comprehensive in-and out-of-school academic support, and various enrichment activities such as boxing lessons, art, music, games, and field trips.

Founded in 2016, The Good Fight has grown significantly in the past 8 years and we are seeking board member candidates who are responsive, engaged, dependable, skilled, and well-connected to help bring our organization into the next phase of growth and development. Nine members serve on the board, and terms last for 3 years.

Qualified candidates will be capable of (at minimum):

  • Investing an average of 2-5 hours per month on behalf of the organization
  • Participating in planning and executing fundraisers
  • Making a personally significant donation at least once/year to The Good Fight (This is based on individual capacity, and is not so much about a specific amount as it is about personal value and investment in the organization. For some this could be $100, while for others it could look like several thousand.)

Board meetings currently take place on a bi-monthly basis, with the following dates planned for 2024:

Mar. 12th

May 14th
