Description: For SOAR’s 2nd annual Amazing Fund-Racer, teams will compete in a series of challenges that are physical, mental, and just pure fun at locations all around the Fox Valley. (In 2020, event modifications were made due to COVID. The Amazing Fund-Racer: COVID-Safe Scavenger Hunt was a fast-paced, socially distanced road rally where teams used a mobile app to complete photo, video, GPS and riddle challenges. For 2021, we will assess what, if any, event modifications need to be made closer to the event date.)

COMMITTEE MEMBER POSITION DESCRIPTION

Committee Roles and Responsibilities:
• Establish a list of potential donors of money, time, and in-kind support
• Take part in approaching potential sponsors/donors
• Utilize personal networks to help with marketing and securing sponsors/donors
• Assist in the development or review of promotional materials.
• Assist in marketing the event
-Hang flyers
-Prepare mailings
-Share on social media
-Promote within personal network
• Ensure event contains program content to enhance the knowledge of the audience and general public regarding SOAR’s mission, programs, benefits and services.
• Assist with logistical decisions for event
-Event signage
-Participant packets/information
-Goody bags
-Challenge site activity suggestions
-Event décor
-Post-party planning (food, entertainment, prizes)
• Attend event as participant or volunteer
• Engage in post-event evaluation to provide feedback for continuous improvement

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/month (including meeting and individual efforts)
• One meeting/month, increasing in frequency as event approaches
